According to the State Statistics Committee data, Uzbekistan imported cars for $370.6 million in January-November.
It is noted that this figure exceeds the same period of the last year by 52.6%.
In general, growth is recovering compared to last year. For example, at the beginning of the year import of foreign cars was almost 4 times higher than last year, 2.2 times – in spring. In early summer, it declined to 67%. But in September, it again increased and reached the mark of 74%.
The overall increase in imports of foreign automobiles is due to the ease of importing expensive foreign-made cars in January – if a car costs $40,000 or more and not more than two years have passed since its release, then a zero duty rate is applied to it.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan imported cars for $291.7 million in January-October.
