“We … plan to place a minimum of $500 million in Eurobonds next year. Depending on market demand and prices it could be more,” Deputy Finance Minister Ahadbek Haydarov told Reuters.

The Central Asian nation first tapped the Eurobond market last February with a $1 billion dual-tranche issue.

This week, state-owned lender Uzsanoatqurilishbank sold a $600 million bond yielding 6%.

Haydarov said the government also planned to borrow 1.5 trillion sums (about $160 million) on the domestic bond market in 2020, roughly the same amount as this year.
