At the Kandym Gas Processing Complex (KGPC), which is located in the Bukhara region, an act of the State Acceptance Commission was signed. It marked the complete completion of the plant’s construction and the associated infrastructure of the KGPC, the press service of the Energy Ministry said.
LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company has fully reported on implementation of the Kandym GPC construction project. The gas processing complex, inaugurated last April, is equipped with all the necessary technical, residential and transport infrastructure.
The Kandym complex fields include a gas processing plant with two process lines with a capacity of 4.05 billion cubic meters of natural gas, an administrative building, repair zones, an autonomous residential complex for 1,150 people, 71 wells, 285 kilometers of roads, as well as an export gas pipeline with a length of 70 kilometers, a water pipe with a length of 55 kilometers and three power lines with a length of 268 kilometers.
The Kandym GPC was inaugurated in the presence of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on April 19, 2018. The ceremony was also attended by the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and President of the PJSC LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov.
The project worth about $3.5 billion was implemented in record time - 8 months ahead of schedule. The enterprise is capable of producing up to 8 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
