A park worth $2 million will be created in the mountains of Shakhrisabz, nuz.uz reports.
“The new recreational area will not only expand the boundaries of ecotourism, but also provide permanent work for more than 50 mountain people,” the administration of the Shakhrisabz district said.
Reportedly, the new Uzbek-Kazakh project includes the construction of hotels and campsites for 3,000 tourists a year. It is planned to put the recreational area into operation in 2020.
So far, they have already begun the construction of roads, power lines and laying the foundation for hotels and campsites.
At the moment, $200,000 have been invested in the project implementation.
