On the first day of the state exams, 66 people were dismissed from admission tests to universities in Uzbekistan, the head of a department at the State Testing Center (STC) Barno Rajabov said during a briefing at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications.
In total, 71,340 applicants were to take part in the testing process. However, 68,736 people were able to take tests. More than 2,500 Uzbek applicants did not appear for the exam due to various reasons, most of all in Tashkent (734 people), least of all in the Navoi region (53 people).
A total of 66 people were suspended from entrance examinations: 13 – at the entry process, 53 – for breaking the rules.
At the same time, Barno Rajabov said that the testing was carried out in accordance with the plan, no accidents occurred.
According to him, applicants who could not come for testing are already appealing to the STC.
“After analyzing the reasons, we submitted proposals to the State Admissions Committee. If the admission committee gives permission, they will be able to take exams on the following days. Nevertheless, it should be noted that there is no regulation that does not allow participation in the next testing of applicants who did not participate due to certain reasons,” Rajabov said.
It should be recalled that the entrance exams this year are being held from July 29 to August 14. Applicants will be able to find out the results on the next day – using the STC website or SMS service. Lists of successful applicants will be publicized on August 23-24.
