Famous Japanese director Kiyoshi Kurosawa released a trailer for the film “To the Ends of the Earth”, shot in Uzbekistan, CA-News reports.
Allegedly, the new film directed by Kurosawa will be released in Japan this June. It should be noted that the Japanese film director has previously won awards at international film festivals. In particular, he was presented the “Best director” award at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
“Once, the great Timurid Empire has fascinated me for decades. Today, the Uzbek people live in its place. I will make a film in the heart of the Silk Road with my favorite team and on a very personal topic. “To the ends of the earth” is not like my other films,” Kurosawa said during an interview with the Japanese press before filming and departing for Uzbekistan.
The main role in the new film of Kurosawa was played by the famous Japanese presenter of the reality show for tourists Yoko. The heroine of the film travels to various regions of Uzbekistan, particularly to Samarkand. She tries to catch mythical fish, and after that her unusual adventures begin.
The Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan has announced the commencement of the creative group work of the director Kurosawa over the film in Uzbekistan in September 2017.
Kiyoshi Kurosawa is an author of about 50 films. The director is mainly known for his work in the genres of horror, thriller and detective.
