The State Program “Year of Active Investments and Social Development”, which is based on the Actions Strategy along five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, was presented for public discussion.

The document envisages reforming the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan. In particular, the draft resolution of the President of Uzbekistan will be developed.

It is planned that the status of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan will be reviewed, market mechanisms to the management of the company will be introduced and a healthy competitive environment in the sphere will be created.

Term of execution of the project is March 1, 2019 and the responsible bodies for overseeing the project implementation are Presidential Administration and Cabinet of Ministers.

Earlier, some experts said it is already a high time to privatize the National Television and Radio Company.
