Voluntary tax compliance reaches 97 percent across Uzbekistan
The State Tax Committee has reported on the level of voluntary tax compliance in Uzbekistan in 2025.
According to the committee, nationwide voluntary fulfillment of tax obligations by legal entities and individuals reached 97 percent last year. The best result, 98 percent, was recorded among large taxpayers supervised by the Interregional Tax Inspectorate.
Voluntary tax payment rates stood at 97 percent in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Andijan, Bukhara, Navoi, Namangan, Samarkand, Tashkent region, and the city of Tashkent. In Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Syrdarya, Fergana, and Khorezm regions, the figure amounted to 96 percent.
By type of tax, the voluntary compliance rates were as follows:
- subsoil use tax – 100 percent;
- excise tax – 98 percent;
- VAT, corporate income tax, turnover tax – 97 percent;
- personal income tax, property tax, land tax, water use tax – 96 percent.
Earlier, it was reported that fines for entrepreneurs who fail to submit tax reports on time have been reduced in Uzbekistan.
