In accordance with the document, the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies will be formed under the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies.
It is noted that from the 2020/2021 academic year:
- the university has the right to develop educational standards, qualification requirements, curricula and programs, as well as to develop and approve a system for assessing students’ knowledge and ensuring the integration of the educational process with training, taking into account international best practices;
- the educational process at the university is carried out on the basis of a step-by-step credit-module system;
- curricula and science courses of joint educational programs organized in cooperation with foreign universities are independently approved by TSUOS in coordination with foreign partners;
- the university organizes permanent retraining and advanced training courses for teachers of Oriental language educational institutions, and a certificate is issued to teachers who successfully pass the courses.
Research Center for the Study of Oriental Culture and Heritage, as well as a Research and Analytical Center for Research on Development of the Eastern Countries, will be also established at the University.
