Makhmud Muradov sparked the festivities off on December 7, 2019 in Washington D.C. when he scored a blistering walk-off knockout finish over Trevor Smith in the third round.
Despite possessing more experience than his younger counterpart, Smith was unable to do much of anything in the opening frames. Muradov was too slick and timely with his punches and Smith was unable to return with anything significant. Muradov capped his efforts off in the third round by clipping Smith with a perfect right hand to the chin that instantly turned the lights off.
With this performance, Muradov locks down his second-straight win inside of the Octagon after taking out Alessio Di Chirico in his debut this past September. Muradov, 29, is now 24-6 throughout his eight-year professional career and looks like a true breakout candidate entering 2020.
