In an extraordinary session of the Uzbekistan Football Association on Monday, Abdusalom Azizov, head of the State Security Service (SSS), was elected new president of the UFA, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
The event participants unanimously voted for Azizov. His candidacy was nominated by the Tashkent Football Association.
Since January 25, 2018, this post was occupied by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Achilbay Ramatov, who resigned from office.
Ravshan Ermatov was elected the First Vice-President of the UFA and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mukhiddin Juraev - the Vice-President of the organization.
