The first Vice-President of Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) Umid Ahmadjanov has decided to leave his post.
It should be noted that in addition to his current job at the UFA Umid Akhmadjanov has been working as the Vice-President of the Asian Olympic Council. He has submitted his resignation from the post at the UFA due to a high number of travels abroad.
“As the Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia, I have a very important responsibility. Next year, the Olympic Games in Tokyo will start. There is less time remaining for these competitions. There are plenty of business trips. That's why I made a request for dismissal from the vice-presidency of the Uzbekistan Football Association.
I think we have worked hard for the Uzbek football. The effect is emerging gradually.
I would like to express my gratitude to our esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is paying great importance to the development of sports in our country, especially football development,” the official UFA website quoted Umid Akhmadjanov as saying.
It should be recalled that on March 3, 42-year-old Akhmadjanov was elected Vice-President of the Asian Olympic Council for Central Asia.
After that, he resigned in April from the leadership of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA), and in May - from the post of the NOC presidency of Uzbekistan.
According to Tribuna.uz sources, FIFA referee Ravshan Irmatov will replace Akhmadjanov at the new post.
Furthermore, the Secretary General of the UFA Sardor Rakhmatullaev is also expected to leave office. There may also be changes in the PFL leadership.
