Court announces verdict on financial pyramid founder “Akhmadboy”

The Kuyichirchik district court on criminal proceedings has ended the trial against Akhmadjon Tursunboyev, popularly known as “Akhmadboy”.

According to Kun.uz correspondent, Akhmadjon Tursunboyev was charged under Articles 168 (fraud), 228 (production, falsification of documents, stamps, letterheads, their sale or use) and 243 (income legalization derived from criminal activities) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Considering the crime committed under Article 168, he was also sentenced to 2 years of correctional labor with a retention of 20% income.

It should be recalled that on February 21, 2018, the Tashkent regional court on criminal proceedings announced verdict against A. Tursunboyev, O. Kuchkarov, I. Ibragimov, M. Tursunboyev, O. Tursunboyev, A. Turdiyev and R. Ismailov, charged with committing crimes under Articles 168 (fraud), 188 (illegal business activities), 189 (violation of the rules of trade or services), 190 (engaging in activities without a license), 211 (giving a bribe) through 25 (preparation for a crime and attempted crime) and 243 (income legalization derived from criminal activities) of the Criminal Code.

The Tashkent regional court on criminal proceedings found 7 defendants guilty and sentenced A. Tursunboyev to 13 years in prison, depriving him of the right to engage in business activities for 1 year and fined 400 MMW (52,096,000 soums).
