Rustam Emomali, Mayor of Dushanbe and President of the Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF), has been elected head of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA), Asia-Plus reports with reference to the TFF press center.
The following congress of the Central Asian Football Association took place at Hyatt Regency Dushanbe Hotel on April 24.
During the event, Tajikistan Football Federation President Rustam Emomali was elected new President of the Central Asian Football Association, replacing representative of Uzbekistan Umid Akhmadjonov.
In this regard, the CAFA Headquarters moves from Tashkent to Dushanbe.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan Football Federation Vice-President Dastanbek Konokbayev was elected First Vice-President of the Central Asian Football Association.
Turkmenistan Football Federation Secretary-General Arslan Ainazarov was elected Vice-President of the Central Asian Football Association.
