According to the press service of the State Committee for Tourism Development, for the first time in history, Uzbekistan will host the Asian Road Cycling Championships. It is great honor for Uzbekistan to welcome all National Cycling Federations affiliated with the Asian Cycling Confederation and guests.
The event will take place from April 23 to April 28 in the territory of Tashkent and Tashkent region. Over 500 athletes from 40 countries will take part in it.
The strongest athletes and teams of Asia will compete for the title of the best cyclists of the continent, as well as for qualification for the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo.
Athletes from such countries as Saudi Arabia, China, Mongolia, Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan, Taipei and others have already arrived in Tashkent and were welcomed at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
Competitions among the adult, junior and Paralympic teams that will compete in team, individual and group races are included in the championships program. The main competition for licenses to the XXXII Summer Olympic and XVI Paralympic Games will be held on April 27 among women, while men will play a license on the last day of the championship. Congress of the Asian Cycling Confederation and the Anti-Doping workshop will be held within the framework of the championships.
