2019 Tashkent Judo Grand Prix will be held on September 20-22, the press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Uzbekistan reported.
“The International Judo Federation has made changes to the calendar of competitions, according to which an additional Grand Slam tournament will be held in Brazil. In this regard, after the World Cup, there will also be changes in the schedule of some tournaments, in particular, this applies to the Tashkent Grand Prix,” the NOC said.
The tournament in Tashkent was supposed to be held in November. However, based on the new calendar, the event will take place on September 20-22.
After the World Cup, the Tashkent Judo Grand Prix will be the first major tournament, during which rating points will be earned for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The winners of gold, silver and bronze medals will receive 700, 490, 350 rating points respectively.
