Moreover, Farrukh Nosirov – ex-sportsman, participant of many international competitions on triathlon and currently a businessman, has been appointed as the first deputy chairman of the TF.

“I am glad that I am given this chance. I strive to develop triathlon and ensure its popularity throughout the country. There are many talented athletes in our country. I think, my expertise will help to select them and attain worthy places in the world arenas and become award winners. We promise not only to go to the Tokyo Olympics but also to bring up athletes who will be among the winners,” Nosirov said.

During the meeting, the head of the NOC Umid Akhmadjonov also touched upon the topic.

“It must be acknowledged that there are no worthy results on triathlon recently. Therefore, we will further develop this sport, which is included in the Olympic Games program, and create a modern material-technical base for athletes. I think that in the future, successful athletes will be brought up in this type of sport and they will represent our country in the world arena,” Umid Akhmadjonov said.
